Our Release doves are from the Rock Dove family.
They are actully pure white homing/racing birds.
These birds have been selectively bred over the centuries
for their colour and homing instinct.
White homing/racing birds are larger, stronger and are more visual
than any other dove, they also know how to fly home.
Please don’t let anyone convince you to use the smaller
white ring neck doves for a release.
Any other dove should never be purchased for a “self-release”
As these doves have no homing ability
and will most definitely perish in the wild.
Our doves are well cared for by our family, they are fed on a mixed diet of the highest quality corn, seeds and minerals, they also love to bathe regularly.
Our lofts are kept in immaculate condition, this reflects in our doves.
It takes many months of training before our doves
can be released for their mission.
Our doves are capable of flying for many miles, weather permitting.
Well trained quality birds can fly upto 500 miles in one day.
We only allow our doves to fly within a 30 mile radius
from their home loft to ensure their safety.
Our doves cannot navigate in inclement weather conditions such as,
heavy rain, strong winds, snow, fog or excessive heat.
A bright sunny day provides the best conditions for a dove release.
For “ Acts of God” bad weather, we reserve the right to cancel the dove release.
We will not jeopardize the health and well being of our doves.
If the release is cancelled by us due to bad weather,
we will promptly return all payment made.
White Wings Of Love are members of The Royal Pigeon Racing Association
and follow the guidelines as set out by them.
All our birds have a identity ring which includes our telephone number.
